Details: Video recording with V-Log L for precise color calibration. The DMW-SFU1 software update allows you to access video recording with V-Log L mode on the DMC-GH4 (GH4 firmware must be updated to version 2.4 for this feature to be available). This new mode offers exceptional flexibility and a wide dynamic range for color calibration in post production. The V-Log and V-Log L curves were designed to provide a characteristic curve similar to that of Cineon, ie a film digitizing characteristic curve. Taking advantage of the 4/3 sensor, the V-Log L curve has a dynamic range of 12 stops. The V-Log and V-Log L curves have the same characteristic curve and the same conversion table (LUT) can be used.
